1.- OBJECT: The City Council of Paiporta organizes the II Christian Lindberg International Solo Competition, together with the firm Rivera Musica.
The competition will take place in Paiporta (Valencia), on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th April 2008, on the basis of the following conditions:
2.- ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: The competition is open to musicians from all nationalities irrespective of their age, except winners of this competition in previous years.

Applications will include also:
a) A copy of the passport or national identity card of the applicant.
b) Two recent photographs with the name of the applicant.
c) Prof. Of the bank payment of the entry fee.
d) References: In order to assess the professional level and academic background of the applicant, the form should include a detailed biography, name of the teachers, outstanding
performances and prizes won.
The above deadline for sending the form and other documentation is peremptory and will not be extended. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Applicants
may be contacted by the organisers if the information provided needs to be completed.
The number of participants will be limited to 60. If the number of applications received exceeds this limit, the Jury will decide which applications are to be admitted.
3.- OTHER REQUIREMENTS: The fact of being admitted to the competition means that applicants are expected to participate in all tests at the dates and timetable required by
the Jury within the general limits provided for in the present conditions. Participants who fail to attend any of the tests will be eliminated from the competition.
Participants must carry their own instruments and original scores needed for the competition. In any case all of them are expected to be present in lAuditorí Municipal de Paiporta,

Aprin at 10 a.m. Winners also have to be present when the Juri decisions will be announced.
Applicants will pay the entry fee 60 , into the banking account number ES95 of the beneficiary RIVERA MOTA, S.L., with the reference II CHRISTIAN
LINDERBERG INTERNATIONAL SOLO COMPETITION CIUDAD DE PAIPORTA.
Those applicants who participate in II Curso Internaconal de Trombón are of this payment.
4.- ACCOMMODATION: It will be organised and paid by the participants and their companions. The City Council of Paiporta will provide information on request about hotel
facilities in town or in the area.
5.- JURY: The members of the Jury are web-known musicians appointed by the City Council of Paiporta.
Christian Lindberg (president), Joseph Alessi (Solo trombone of the Philarmonic Orchestra), Michel Becquet (Profesor in the Lyon Conservatory), Ricardo Casero (Solo trombone
in the Comunidad Valenciana Orchestra), Ferrer Ferran (Composer), Justo Romero (Playwright in Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía), Salvador Tarraso (Profesor in Castellón
conservatory), and Jorgen Van Rijen (Solo Trombone in Concertgebouw de Ámsterdam Orchestra)
Before starting the competition the Jury will decide on any possible conflict or clash of interest between its members and the participants. The Jury may stop the participants
performance when concludes to have enough evidence to score that performance. Once all the. tests completed, the Jury will decide the winners or not to award a prize because
there is no suitable candidate. The Jury can decide on any issue not specifically contemplated in the present conditions. The Jury decisions are final and there is no right to appeal
against them.
6.- TESTS: Participants will be called only once and the non attendance on time will result in elimination from the competition. The order of the individual performances will be
decided by a draw. The competition will be made up of the following eliminatory stages and compulsory musical pieces:
First stage:
The Jury has not the possibility to see the participants during their performance.
In case of 4-4 in the jury result, the president Christian Lindberg will receive an extra finale vote.
Pieces:
Christian Lindberg: JOE JACK BINGLEBANDIT solo trombone.
Second stage:
The number of participants will be limited to 9
Pieces:
Leopold Mozart Concert Trombón piano
Henri Tomasi Concert Trombón piano
Final, Pieces:
Ferrer Ferran Te bone e Paiporta Trombón and Banda.
7.- INDIVIDUAL ORDER OF PERFORMANCE: It will be decided by a draw held in the opening public session.
8.- ACCOMPANIST AND REHEARSALS: Participants can be accompanied by a pianist provided by the organisers. However they can bring their own accompanist at their own
cost.
Optional rehearsals will be held before the tests on 1st April at LAuditori Municipal. Those participants interested in the rehearsals must book the room in anticipation.
9.- PRIZES:
First prize: 6.000
1 Trombone Conn professional model Christian Lindberg
3 Concerts from the region of Valencia sponsorised by IVM.
One subscription serie concert with the Nordic Chamber Orchestra conducted by Christian Lindberg in sometime between
1August 2.009 and 1 January 2.011.
One subscription serie concert with the Swedish Wind Ensemble sometime between 1 August 2.009 and 1 January 2.011.
Second prize: 3.000
1 Trombone Courtois professional model Michel Becquet
Third prize: 1.500
10.- INELIGIBILITY: The competition is not open to winners of this competition in previous ye ars.
11.- PUBLICITY RIGHTS: The City Council of Paiporta reserves all rights to authorise the diffusion, broadcasting in radio or television or recording of the competition tests and
performances and to use them unlimitedly in the cultural activities organised by the City Council.
12.- LIABILITY: Organisers will not be held liable for any accident suffered by participants during the competition.
